Five stars because of what this book made me feel.
Five stars because the swollen in my heart, the tears in my eyes, and the smile on my lips.
Yes, maybe there are some things that I would enjoy better if they were addressed in a different direction, but this book is like life, we don’t always get what we want, however, that doesn’t mean it’s not going to be great.
People always talk about changes, about the fear of growing up, of losing ourself or not recognize who we are. There are plenty of books about this topic, I’ve read many of them, nevertheless One of the guys, is one of the best.
The narrative is great, the plot is simple but effective, the dialogues, the characters are well done written, especially Toni. Even when I thought she seems younger than what her character represents, It’s impossible not to feel a connection with her with her honesty, her heart full of love and her desperation for clinging to what she always knew.
I always say, I’m a believer of new beginning and second chance. Now with this book, I also believe in moving on, keep going, treasure your past and look at to the future.
And I also believe that friendship can change that’s inevitable, but the links between real friends are stronger than steel. Okay, this last part is a little cheese, Toni wouldn’t like it, or maybe she will, after all, she has changed.
100% recommended. It will worth your time.
Best Phrases:
“This is the part where I say good bye to my childhood existence. This is the part where everyone is different. No turning back. No clinging to what once was.”
“Maybe change doesn’t have to mean growing apart. Maybe  it can mean growing closer.”
